Facial Therapies & Advanced Skin Correction

What is the CBD Calming Facial?

The CBD Calming Facial is a restorative treatment created for skin that feels dry, stressed, reactive, or depleted. It combines gentle cleansing, barrier-supportive hydration, calming products, therapeutic facial massage, and professionally formulated topical CBD skincare.

The experience is designed to help the complexion appear calmer, softer, more balanced, and refreshed while giving the mind and body an opportunity to slow down.

What are the benefits of CBD in skincare?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating compound derived from hemp. In professionally formulated skincare, it is often combined with botanical extracts, antioxidants, moisturizers, and barrier-supportive ingredients to help comfort and condition the skin.

A CBD facial may be especially appealing when your skin feels:

  • Dry or depleted

  • Sensitive or easily irritated

  • Stressed from environmental exposure

  • Uncomfortable after over-exfoliation

  • In need of gentle, restorative care

CBD skincare will not make you feel “high.” However, CBD is still being studied, and cosmetic CBD products should not be presented as treatments for eczema, psoriasis, pain, inflammation, or other medical conditions. Results also depend on the quality and complete formulation of the product—not CBD alone.

Please disclose pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, medications, or known cannabis sensitivities before your treatment.

What is a Somatic Facial?

A Somatic Facial is a slow, nervous-system-aware facial experience that combines professional skincare with intentional touch, breath awareness, grounding techniques, and rhythmic facial, scalp, neck, and shoulder massage.

“Somatic” simply means relating to the body and how experiences may be felt or held physically. During the facial, you are invited to notice your breathing, muscle tension, comfort, and overall sense of presence without pressure to talk or perform.

Who may benefit from a Somatic Facial?

This experience may be helpful for clients who:

  • Carry tension in the jaw, brow, neck, or shoulders

  • Feel mentally overstimulated or physically depleted

  • Have difficulty slowing down during traditional spa services

  • Are caregivers, professionals, or women navigating demanding life transitions

  • Prefer a quiet, nurturing, touch-centered facial

  • Want skincare and restorative self-care within the same experience

Somatic Facial Therapy is a wellness service—not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, or medical care. You remain in control throughout the appointment and may request changes in pressure, positioning, conversation, or touch at any time.

Do I have to discuss personal experiences during a Somatic Facial?

No. You are never expected to disclose trauma, personal history, or private emotional experiences. The treatment focuses on creating a respectful environment in which you can receive care at your own comfort level.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is an advanced skin-correction treatment that uses a professional device containing very fine, sterile needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin. This controlled process supports the skin’s natural renewal response and the production of collagen and elastin.

What skin concerns can microneedling improve?

Depending on your skin’s condition and treatment eligibility, microneedling may help improve the appearance of:

  • Acne scars

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Enlarged-looking pores

  • Fine lines

  • Mild skin laxity

  • Uneven tone

  • Certain types of discoloration

A series of treatments is usually recommended because collagen remodeling happens gradually. Microneedling can be performed on many skin tones, but every client must be evaluated individually.

Who should not receive microneedling?

Microneedling may need to be postponed or avoided if you have:

  • Active acne, cold sores, infection, rash, or open lesions

  • A history of keloid or raised scarring

  • Difficulty healing

  • A weakened immune system

  • Uncontrolled diabetes

  • A bleeding disorder or certain blood-thinning medications

  • Recent radiation treatment or skin cancer in the treatment area

  • Recent cosmetic procedures that have not fully healed

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, depending on the products used

  • A current medical condition or medication that may affect healing

Medical clearance may be requested when appropriate. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, people with impaired healing, keloid history, or weakened immune systems may not be suitable candidates for microneedling. Learn more from the AAD.

What should I expect after microneedling?

Temporary redness, warmth, tightness, sensitivity, and mild swelling are common. Light dryness or flaking may develop as the skin renews itself.

You will receive detailed aftercare instructions. Sun protection, gentle cleansing, hydration, and avoiding picking or premature exfoliation are essential. Downtime varies according to treatment depth and individual healing.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a controlled exfoliation treatment that uses a professionally selected solution to loosen damaged surface cells and encourage more even-looking skin renewal.

Peels are available in different formulations and strengths. At Evolution, the peel selected for you will be based on your skin tone, sensitivity, current condition, treatment history, lifestyle, and goals.

What concerns can chemical peels address?

Professional chemical peels may help improve the appearance of:

  • Dull or rough texture

  • Surface congestion

  • Certain types of acne

  • Post-breakout discoloration

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Fine lines

  • Sun-related discoloration

  • Overall clarity and radiance

The American Academy of Dermatology notes that chemical peels may be used for certain types of acne, discoloration, and visible signs of aging. Read the AAD’s chemical-peel overview.

Will my skin visibly peel?

Not necessarily. Some peels create light dryness or microscopic exfoliation without obvious shedding. Others may cause visible flaking for several days. The amount of peeling does not determine the effectiveness of the treatment.

Please do not pull, scrub, or pick at peeling skin. Doing so can increase the possibility of irritation, infection, discoloration, or scarring.

Who should not receive a chemical peel?

A peel may need to be modified, postponed, or avoided if you have:

  • Sunburn, open skin, active infection, or cold sores

  • Significant irritation or a compromised skin barrier

  • Recent waxing, laser treatment, or another resurfacing service

  • Certain medication use

  • Recent use of prescription retinoids or strong exfoliants

  • A history of difficult healing or abnormal scarring

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, depending on the peel ingredients

  • A medical condition that affects healing

A consultation and complete health history are required before advanced correction services.

Can I receive microneedling or a chemical peel before an important event?

Advanced services should not be scheduled immediately before a wedding, photoshoot, vacation, or major event. Temporary redness, dryness, flaking, swelling, or an unexpected skin response can occur.

Your treatment should generally be scheduled several weeks before an important occasion, with timing determined during your consultation.

Intimate Skin Health & Feminine Wellness

What is the Intimate Skin Renewal Treatment?

The Intimate Skin Renewal Treatment is an external skincare service for the bikini line, mons pubis, and other appropriate hair-bearing areas affected by waxing, shaving, friction, or ingrown hairs.

Depending on your needs, the treatment may include gentle cleansing, exfoliation, ingrown-hair care, extractions when appropriate, a soothing mask, hydration, and customized homecare recommendations.

What concerns can the Intimate Skin Renewal Treatment address?

This service may help improve the appearance and condition of:

  • Ingrown hairs

  • Bumps caused by shaving or waxing

  • Surface congestion

  • Dry or rough texture

  • Post-inflammatory discoloration

  • Skin stressed by friction

  • Uneven-looking tone

This is strictly an external skin treatment. No products or instruments are inserted into the vagina.

Can I receive the treatment if I have an active infection or unusual symptoms?

No. Your appointment should be postponed if you have open lesions, unexplained sores, severe irritation, unusual discharge or odor, suspected infection, active herpes symptoms, or significant pain.

An esthetician cannot diagnose or treat vaginal infections, sexually transmitted infections, or gynecological conditions. Please consult a qualified healthcare provider before scheduling.

How should I prepare for an Intimate Skin Renewal Treatment?

Please arrive with clean skin and avoid applying heavy oils, powders, or fragranced products to the area. Discontinue irritating exfoliants before your appointment as instructed.

If the service is combined with waxing, avoid trimming the hair too short. Please also disclose recent procedures, prescription medications, allergies, pregnancy, and any history of skin reactions.

What is the Duafe Herbal Steam?

The Duafe Herbal Steam is a seated wellness ritual using warm herbal vapor around the external pelvic area. It is created as an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and enjoy quiet, intentional care.

The steam is customized for comfort, and your privacy is respected throughout the experience.

What are the benefits of the Duafe Herbal Steam?

The Duafe Herbal Steam is offered as a cultural and personal wellness ritual rather than a medical treatment. Clients may choose it for warmth, relaxation, reflection, and intentional self-care.

It is not intended to clean or “detox” the vagina, balance hormones, increase fertility, treat infections, regulate menstrual cycles, or replace gynecological care. The vagina is self-cleaning, and herbal steam should never be used to delay medical evaluation.

Who should not receive an herbal steam?

Herbal steaming should not be performed during pregnancy or when pregnancy is possible. It should also be avoided if you have:

  • An active vaginal, urinary, or sexually transmitted infection

  • Unexplained bleeding, discharge, odor, sores, or pelvic pain

  • Open wounds or significant external irritation

  • Recent gynecological surgery or childbirth without medical clearance

  • A condition that reduces your ability to sense temperature

  • An intrauterine device or other concern your healthcare provider advises against

  • An allergy or sensitivity to any herbs in the blend

Steam must feel comfortably warm—never painfully hot. The service will be stopped immediately if you experience burning, dizziness, irritation, or discomfort.

What is the Sacred Feminine Renewal Ritual?

The Sacred Feminine Renewal Ritual is Evolution’s more immersive intimate wellness experience. It brings together external intimate skincare, the Duafe Herbal Steam, grounding practices, and restorative self-care within one private, unhurried appointment.

The ritual is designed to support women who want to reconnect with their bodies and create intentional time for rest, reflection, and feminine care.

What may be included in the Sacred Feminine Renewal Ritual?

Depending on the selected service and your individual needs, the ritual may include:

  • A private consultation

  • Duafe Herbal Steam

  • External Intimate Skin Renewal Treatment

  • Gentle exfoliation and hydration

  • A soothing botanical mask

  • Grounding breathwork or guided reflection

  • Herbal tea and intentional rest

  • Customized intimate homecare guidance

All services are performed with clear professional boundaries and informed consent. The ritual does not include internal massage, vaginal cleansing, medical treatment, or sexual services.

Can the Sacred Feminine Renewal Ritual treat menopause symptoms or reproductive concerns?

No. Although the ritual may provide a comforting self-care experience, it does not diagnose or treat menopause symptoms, infertility, infections, pelvic pain, hormonal disorders, or reproductive conditions.

Clients experiencing persistent dryness, bleeding, pain, itching, urinary symptoms, discharge, odor, or other concerning changes should consult a qualified medical provider.

Can I receive intimate services during my menstrual cycle?

Some external treatments may still be possible, but herbal steaming and certain intimate services may be postponed for comfort, hygiene, or safety. Please contact Evolution before your appointment so we can determine the most appropriate option.

How is my privacy protected during intimate services?

Your comfort and dignity are priorities. You will receive clear instructions, appropriate draping, time to change privately, and an explanation before each step. Only the external area necessary for the service will be exposed.

You may pause or end the service at any time.

Studio Policies & Procedures

Are appointments required?

Yes. Evolution Skincare & Wellness operates by appointment only so that each client receives focused, uninterrupted care. Booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Is a deposit required?

A booking deposit or valid card on file may be required to reserve your appointment. The deposit is applied to your scheduled service balance.

Your appointment is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Late cancellations and appointments moved outside the permitted notice period may result in the loss of the deposit or a cancellation fee.

Repeated late cancellations may require prepayment before future appointments can be reserved.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

A missed appointment without notice is considered a no-show. The deposit may be forfeited, and the remaining service balance or applicable no-show fee may be charged to the card on file.

Future appointments may require full prepayment.

What if I arrive late?

Please arrive on time so you can receive your complete experience. If you arrive late, the service may be shortened to avoid delaying the next client. The original service price will still apply.

If there is not enough time to perform the service safely or effectively, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and treated as a late cancellation.

When should I arrive for my first appointment?

New clients should arrive approximately 10 minutes early to complete consultation forms, review health information, and prepare for the service. Forms may also be sent electronically before your visit.

Why do I need to complete a consultation form?

Your health history, medications, allergies, recent procedures, pregnancy status, product use, and previous skin reactions can affect which treatments are safe for you.

Accurate information allows your service to be customized responsibly. Please update Evolution whenever your health, medications, or skincare routine changes.

Can a service be modified or declined?

Yes. Evolution reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline any treatment when a contraindication, health concern, active infection, compromised skin barrier, or other safety issue is present.

You may be asked to obtain medical clearance before receiving certain advanced services.

Are results guaranteed?

No skincare provider can guarantee a specific result. Outcomes vary according to skin condition, genetics, hormones, medications, health history, lifestyle, homecare consistency, sun exposure, and adherence to aftercare instructions.

Evolution will provide honest recommendations and a realistic treatment plan based on your individual skin.

Do I need to follow the recommended homecare routine?

Professional services work best when supported by consistent homecare. Your recommendations will be based on your skin, goals, lifestyle, and budget.

Homecare products are not automatically included in the service price unless specifically stated.

What if I experience a reaction after my service?

Some services may cause expected temporary redness, sensitivity, dryness, flaking, or tenderness. You will be advised about normal post-treatment responses before leaving.

Contact Evolution promptly if you experience an unexpected or worsening reaction. Seek immediate medical care for severe swelling, difficulty breathing, signs of infection, extensive blistering, or another urgent symptom.

What should I do before a facial?

Unless instructed otherwise:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning.

  • Do not wax or use strong exfoliants immediately before your appointment.

  • Inform Evolution about prescription retinoids, antibiotics, steroids, blood thinners, or recent cosmetic procedures.

  • Avoid picking or attempting extractions at home.

  • Arrive without heavy makeup when possible.

Are children or additional guests permitted?

Because the studio is designed to provide a quiet, private experience, additional guests and unattended children should not accompany you unless prior approval has been given.

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for services performed on a minor and may be required to remain present.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Accepted payment methods are displayed during online booking and may include major debit and credit cards, approved digital payments, gift certificates, or other listed options.

Payment is due at the time of service. Gratuities are appreciated but never required.

Can gift certificates be refunded or exchanged for cash?

Gift certificates are nonrefundable and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. They may be used toward eligible services according to the terms provided at purchase.

Gift certificates cannot be used to pay cancellation or no-show fees.

What is the product return policy?

For sanitation and safety reasons, opened or used skincare, intimate-care, and personal-care products are generally nonreturnable. Please contact Evolution promptly if a product arrives damaged, is defective, or if you believe you have experienced a reaction.

Is the studio environment confidential?

Yes. Personal information shared during consultations and services is treated respectfully and discreetly. Client photos, testimonials, or treatment results will not be shared for marketing without permission.

Is Evolution Skincare & Wellness a medical facility?

No. Evolution provides professional esthetic, spa, and wellness services. These services do not replace diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, psychotherapy, or care from a licensed medical provider.

When a concern falls outside the esthetic scope of practice, you may be referred to a dermatologist, gynecologist, primary-care provider, or another qualified professional.

Still Have Questions?

Every client’s skin, body, health history, and comfort level are different. If you are unsure which experience is right for you, schedule a consultation or contact Evolution Skincare & Wellness before booking.
